Oof.... I can't even remember what happened this week and what happened the first or second weeks... WELL! We've been teaching a couple TRC investigators - one is named Jorge Delgado and is one of those people that gets paid to come here; but the other is TOTALLY a legit investigator!!! :D His name is Brian. But funny story how we met him... We went to go teach Jorge on Wednesday Jan 1 and he didn't show up :( it would have been our 4th lesson with him. He committed to baptism on the 3rd lesson :D I went to teach him with my comp and Sister Knoll and Sister Merchant (the brunette and the ginger). And since he didn't show up we decided to just socialize in the next room over and next thing we knew 20 minutes had passed :P Jorge still hadn't shown up! But then this random Hispanic about 20 years old comes up to us and says "hey... I was wondering if one of you could answer my question..." and Sister Knoll (she's very talkative) said "we ALL can!" he replied "How do you become a member of this church?" and at that point I'm like 'WANNA BE BAPTIZED???' but I didn't actually say it... We taught him about faith and repentance and Jorge showed up 15 minutes later. Then Sis Knoll and Merchant had to go teach someone else and so I kept teaching both of our investigators at the same time :) that's usually how it goes :P my comp was only recently PERSONALLY converted and so he doesn't know a whole lot about the doctrine and prefers if I do the explaining. I'm easing him into talking more. We ended up teaching Brian from 4:45 to about 5:35 and then we had to go but we wanted to keep talking to him cuz he was SUPER interested but wasn't quite ready to be baptized and I didn't feel like it was right for me to invite him to be baptized (which a lot of people were shocked about cuz you're advised to invite on the first lesson).
ANYWAY! We taught him again this morning and he said he met with two other companionships and they both invited him to church and invited him to be baptized and he turned both down (well... he said maybe to church) but then after we taught him that morning he committed to go to church with one of his LDS friends and he even committed to be BAPTIZED!!! :D :D :D :D !!! he doesn't want to set a date though. He believes the church is God's church and that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that the Book of Mormon is true and so he wants to meet with us everyday until we leave since he REALLY likes talking with us (not so much the other missionaries because he just gets confused with them). I'M SO SAD I HAVE TO LEAVE HIM!!! I'm going to give him off to Tohi or Elder Lehr :)
